Hi, Noah here. I grew up in Portland, Oregon. I have always been an inventor since early childhood. My parents are potters so I have lived with a pottery studio next door to my house during my childhood where I could use as much clay as I wanted to sculpt and create objects. I have a lot of experience competing because I have an identical twin brother, Tim, which gives me a lifetime of experience in competition. Tim currently works in a neuroscience lab studying bird song. I began my college experience at Lewis & Clark College, in Portland, Oregon not knowing what I wanted to do with my career. I was interested in psychology as well as sculpture. During my second year I realized that with my inventive spirit in conjunction with these two disciplines I was born to be a designer. Industrial design, I have found, is the "Psychology of Form." What it means for a person to choose a sleek simple object over a complex mechanical one depending on their ideals and values. I decided to pursue my new direction by moving to California to go to The California College of the Arts because of its great teachers, future thinking, and emphasis on sustainability. Since then I never looked back. In 2006 I won another housewares award for a Kitchen Scale that could be efficiently manufactured using zinc’s unique properties. I am currently doing freelance work and looking for a full-time job with a lucky company.<<less >>pic
